Founded by Keith Buckland, a seasoned business professional and local Realtor, and Albert Phalen, a skilled hunter, trapper and avid fisherman & outdoorsman. Reel Fishing Outfitters aims to provide clients with authentic Canadian experiences in the breathtaking landscapes of Cape Breton Island.
Keith Buckland:
A certified Nova Scotia Fishing Guide (2024). With over 30 years of experience fishing the waters of Cape Breton Island, Keith brings unparalleled expertise to Cape Breton Guide Company. His extensive knowledge of the Bras d'Or Lakes and freshwater rivers like Middle River, Baddeck River, and Margaree River ensures that clients enjoy unforgettable fishing expeditions in some of the most pristine natural environments. In the summer months, Keith also enjoys local Small Mouth Bass and Chain Pickerel guiding on Blackett’s Lake during the hotter months.
Albert Phalen:
Born and raised in Cape Breton Albert's passion for hunting and fishing has been a lifelong pursuit, cultivated from a young age. With over 30 years experience exploring and fishing this beautiful island from fresh water lakes, Bras d'or Lakes(salt water) local Rivers and coastal ocean fishing you can be assured of a memorable experience with breath taking views and world class fishing.
